Victoria is the unlucky state in a lucky country. Most other states and territories, except for NSW, have achieved elimination of community transmission of the pandemic virus SARS-CoV-2 (28 or more days of no locally acquired cases where the source is unknown).
The situation in NSW is mixed and precarious. On the one hand, NSW has a current outbreak of 40 cases (as of 16 July) linked to the Crossroads Hotel outbreak in Casula. On the other hand, until 16 July there had only been three locally acquired cases of SARS-CoV-2 infection with no known source in the preceding 28 days suggesting NSW was on the cusp of elimination 1 – but three cases have been reported on 16 July with no obvious link to the current outbreak.2 If NSW successfully contains this outbreak, it may resume its prior trajectory towards the elimination of local transmission, leaving Victoria isolated as the only state with community transmission.
It seems highly unlikely that states and territories that have eliminated local transmission will relinquish their status by freely opening borders and engaging with Victoria (and NSW if community transmission remains). Australia going forward as two separate systems (six or seven states and territories having eliminated the virus, one or two not) is a significant concern. Both the Victorian economy (comprising 23.7% of Australia’s economy 3) and the wider Australian economy will be adversely impacted for a long period due to the public health measures necessary to prevent and control recurrent outbreaks arising from resurgent community transmission.
There are three general strategic policy responses to the challenge of COVID-19: elimination, suppression, and mitigation (or herd immunity). No response is free of economic, social and health harms – rather, it is about minimising harm.4 Society has largely rejected a mitigation response due to the high morbidity and mortality inherent (e.g. if 60% of the population were infected the number of deaths may exceed 100,000 under current case fatality rates 5). We argue that explicitly pushing towards a strategy of elimination across all of Australia is optimal given where we are at and what we know.

Elimination strategy

We know from New Zealand (NZ; population 5.0 million)6 and Taiwan (23.8 million)7 that elimination of community transmission is achievable in island jurisdictions, both having no reported community transmission for over two months as of 10 July.8 The advantage of elimination is that despite international border closures or strict quarantine, citizens can go about life with a near-normal functioning of their society and economy.
Elimination has challenges. First, there is the extra effort to achieve it – and the fact that aiming to achieve elimination does not guarantee success. Second, having achieved elimination, there would be the constant risk of the virus re-entering due to quarantine breaches. This is evident from the two quarantine hotels in Melbourne that leaked cases of SARS-CoV-2 infection. However, if we learn from experience, there is no reason why the quarantine of arrivals to a country cannot be made near-perfectly secure with the appropriate processes and resources.
How sustainable a COVID-19 free nation with tight border controls is in the very long term is unclear, especially when international tourism begins to be resurrected in the rest of the world. If an effective vaccine does not arrive in the next year or so, then at some point a COVID-19 free country may choose to pivot away from maintaining elimination towards suppression or mitigation. This could involve the easing of border restrictions and the return of disease spread but where the mortality and morbidity burden is substantially lessened through improved treatments and social mechanisms to protect the elderly and vulnerable (e.g. good ring-fencing of rest-homes). The point now, though, is that living in a state or country that has achieved elimination is a far better option than suppression in the short- to medium-term, compared to the high likelihood of recurrent outbreaks precipitating recurrent lock-downs with attendant social and economic disruption. For example, NZ used a more stringent lock-down that Australia in March to April 2020 (Supplementary Figure 1 - available in PDF), rapidly achieved elimination, and its economy appears to have bounced back more strongly than Australia’s, at least on the measure of payroll job estimates (Supplementary Figure 2 - available in PDF). So too, COVID-19 free Australian states and territories (e.g., Queensland) are benefiting economically, enabling the re-opening of business activity and hosting of national sporting teams and fixtures such as the AFL.

Is elimination achievable with a six-week lock-down?

Lock-downs are effective for pandemic control.9,10 Our case for an explicit elimination strategy in Victoria, now, is that given the State is in lock-down for six-weeks there is only a marginal cost of ‘going hard’ with a rigorous public health response that increases the probability of achieving elimination. But is elimination achievable within six-weeks?
We examined four policy scenarios using an agent-based model, a type of micro-simulation of individuals. The model accurately reflects the prior experience of both NZ and Australia 11, and in this paper, we have adapted it to Victoria (including the case counts up to 14 July) (see Appendix for details - available in PDF). The four policy approaches were:
  1. Standard, reflecting the first Australian lock-down (calibrated in ), with key parameters including 85% of people observing physical distancing; of those observing physical distancing, they do so 85% of the time; 30% of adult workers are essential workers; 93% of people asked to isolate doing so; 20% uptake of COVID-Safe App; but no closure of schools and no mask-wearing.
  2. Standard plus masks at 50%, above plus 50% of people wearing masks when in crowded indoor environments.
  3. Stringent with masks at 50%, schools closed and essential workers restricted to 20% of workers, otherwise as above.
  4. Stringent with masks at 90%, above with mask use increased to 90%.
Figure 1 (available in PDF) shows the percentage likelihood of elimination in Victoria, defined as the date of clearance of infection by the last case. The observable moment of 28 days without a locally acquired case with no known contact follows by about another two weeks.
Under the ‘Standard‘ policy approach, there is no chance that all infected people will have cleared their SARS-CoV-2 infection by 19 August (six-weeks after lock-down started). The probabilities for the other three policy approaches are 5% for ‘Standard plus masks at 50%’; slightly more at about 7% for ‘Stringent with masks at 50%’; and nearly 50% for ‘Stringent plus masks at 90%’. As an important aside, as we have updated these model runs in the week since lockdown began, the curves have been shifting to the right due to the ongoing high numbers of daily cases. If Victoria gets on top of the current outbreak, these probabilities may improve, and the curves shift to the left – but also vice versa. We will update these models on a regular basis.
Undertaking simulation modelling of SARS-CoV-2 policy options is challenging and the uncertainties are still large. Nevertheless, our results lend weight to the proposition that elimination is achievable, and that mandatory wearing of masks can greatly assist its chances.

A ten-point plan to maximize the chance of elimination in Victoria

Box 1 (available in PDF) gives enhancements to the stay-at-home orders used in the first lock-down, that should see an increased probability of elimination being achieved. The first and critical point is leadership. Victoria’s Premier Daniel Andrews (and indeed all State and Territory Premiers) should explicitly declare ‘elimination’ as the goal. This should be accompanied by increased transparency and target-setting including the appointment of an expert advisory group in order to increase trust in the process. An explicit goal will more likely avert a public clamouring for premature opening up again as case-numbers fall and will recognise that these investments will have greater health and economic payoffs in the future.
Since the second lock-down in Victoria was announced (Tuesday 7 July), progress with aspects of this ten-point plan has already been made with the closure of schools (other than for year 11 and 12, and special needs students), encouragement to wear masks in indoor environments (though we argue this needs to be mandatory), and commitments to improve contact tracing capacity.

Conclusion

We argue that Melbourne and Victoria should not waste the opportunity this lock-down presents. By learning from the lessons on social and preventive measures to lower SARS-CoV-2 transmissibility,9,10,12,13 and specifically the lessons from NZ,4 Taiwan and six of the eight Australia States and Territories that have achieved elimination, Victoria can increase its chances of also eliminating community transmission.
There is the risk of failure – we cannot guarantee that our ten-point plan will achieve elimination, we cannot guarantee high compliance in measures by the Victoria population if a more stringent lock-down was imposed, and if the outbreak in NSW restarts community transmission then both NSW and Victoria will need to have elimination strategies for Australia to eliminate. But we argue that it would be a bigger failure to not enhance the probability of elimination by augmenting the current lock-down now. Our work and those of others who have independently considered the alternatives consistently demonstrates that elimination is possible, and if achieved optimal for health and long-term for the economy.4,14-16
Finally, we can only make estimates as to what the future holds. If a timely vaccine does not arrive, or treatments greatly improve, then for Australia to fully reintegrate with the rest of the world there may be a need to pivot to suppression and then mitigation. But we argue this is a decision better reserved for the future as the disease evolves and our knowledge improves; an Australia with no community transmission of SARS-CoV-2 in the near-term will be better and stronger for it.

2020.07.15 19:30 khorne_with_blood Aust the mechanical necromancer and his 14 hacked warforged

This is an edited version of an old post I made, I felt the old one was bad in too many ways,
In dnd most people want a character to be something, quite often far from reality, Aust is a different story
Characters: Aust (half drow, quarter high elf, quarter human , or a half elf with a longer life span and trance instead of sleep necromancer wizard), goblin druid, animated armour paladin (warforged for stats) and kenku horizon walker ranger
We had just been tasked to map out a lightning rail route and were preparing for the journey ahead, most people were buying stuff, or getting out of jail for killing an undead dog who died of brain cancer... paladin. Aust was doing something special in the dead of night he would find the closest and poorest blacksmiths and take their metal, his navy blue overcoat shimmering in the moonlight, his light grey face staring intently at his to be possessions and his oak leather glove jumping of his hand to unlock the door after about 50 lbs of metal was stolen the iron guard (warforged police officers) was alerted, then the fun started one by one he would lure a warforged down an alleyway and scorching ray it to death, two every knight for a week (total of 14) and then he would reprogram them to serve for him, and he gave a dog a prosthetic leg, with open cogs and visual joints, all working because of a robot on the dogs brain that would take commands issued by the correct part of the dogs brain and carry them out (painkillers were administered during the attachment process)
The journey started and he worked the forge he built inside of his carriage and made two things as of date: rifles for him and his warforged and a small cannon mounted on his rifle that shot a single tiny drone that shot darts at the nearest target, also he gathered some bones from a halfling nomad burial site, killed some goblins, stored the goblins and found a person who committed suicide because he was being hunted by a demon and didn't want that fate, he's 6ft under the ground now (with Aust's help and encouragement).
The first stop of the jouney was a small village called iron town with three stores, none of which are blacksmiths (somehow), but a masons, a library and a carpenters, the goblin druid got our first magic item an alchemy jug with mayonnaise as one of the stoppers, Aust got some custom work done on his carriage to add a platform that rests on the roof of the carriage and can flip around 180 degrees, fall down and then raise itself up to act as a platform, then there was the tavern, called the lonely wolf which had a picture of a wolf drooping it's head down, inside is several people, standing or sitting in dark spots, twisting daggers (good joke DM) and then it turns out that this is a gay brothel as well (we were told to ask for the special service by the carpenter if you were wondering), so that really made sleeping easier.
That ends the first bit, I might make more if this is well received but I might not, depends on how the continuity takes it

2020.07.11 17:31 here-for-the---- Was deleted from am I the a hole

Ok so hear me out. I 42m left my 39f wife and 12m son of 14 yrs marriage rocky as everyone is haha. Well my upbringing has taught me any one that messes with your family you make that person or persons life hell. Well after a few months of dating my gf she tells me a dark secret of her dad molesting her at a young age (and only 1yr in jail in Aust and his wife and my gf mother sticking by her) and well at the time I loved my gf and she obviously had a hard time telling me and wanted forgiveness which I had a hard time with but i was madly in love with this lady at the time. I faked it and was civil. But how can a parent stick by someone who would do that to your child. Well it's to strange for me and pedos deserve a bat and that's all.. and what makes it worse is her mum who stuck by that low life and took his daughter to jail to visit.. So am I the asshole for the way I feel and acted? Sorry edited was typing while drunk yest haha

2020.05.03 13:32 nictse1467 I dont think my gf likes me anymore

We have been dating for 2yrs and right now she is trapped in another part of the world and has been unable to travel back to Aust, due to travel restiction. So our communication is just via text. Problem is we hardly text much, like no good morning or good night, or i miss you or anything. and sometime when i tell her i want to hear her voice beacuse i miss her, she asks why. and then just a text, not now. she doesnt explain anything if she is busy or what.
there will be times when i message her and she will take 6 hrs to reply back. she isnt even working right now, what else is there to do except to be on your phone all day.
i feel the COVID has really beaten us up. i feel if i tell her i miss her too much, she will get annoyed and not even text back.
i feel i am at fault for being too needy, but am i asking yoo much if its just simple text messages to keep each other feeling they are still part of your life?

2020.04.28 16:37 Telos4africa What you should know about the bitcoin halving

What you should know about the bitcoin halving
https://preview.redd.it/wl6l09melkv41.png?width=1025&format=png&auto=webp&s=67a72ac734ae8dc39452143ac9c4ec5d58c34eac
Whether you’re a crypto faithful or just a passer-by who happened to notice a bitcoin headline, you’ve likely come across the halving.
The roughly quadrennial event is arguably an important one in the progression of the bitcoin network. For all the adjustments and changes to bitcoin’s code since its launch – and the evolution of the ecosystem and industry around it – the issuance cycle and bitcoin’s predetermined supply have never been altered.
The halving is, perhaps, emblematic of both bitcoin’s philosophical basis as well as its technical progression. It’s also a heck of a lot of fun, with past halvings inspiring celebrations and watch-parties for those counting down each block until the halving officially kicks in.
So, let’s get into it.

What is the bitcoin halving?

First, some basics. Each bitcoin block brings three things with it: transactions, newly-created bitcoins and fees.
For example, block number 625875 included 1,478 transactions worth 4899.23684782 BTC. The block was created by BTC.com. In exchange for making that block, BTC.com earned 12.5 BTC and 0.08439752 BTC in fees.
When bitcoin first launched, each block had a subsidy of 50 BTC. In 2012, that amount fell to 25 BTC per block, and in 2016 it was further reduced to 12.5 BTC per block. With upcoming halving – currently estimated to take place in or around May 12, when the network hits its 630,000th block – that amount will drop to 6.25 BTC per block.
To date, roughly 18.3 million bitcoins have been minted out of a total of 21 million that will ever be created.

Wait, what’s a miner?

Miners create the blocks of transactions that make sending BTC throughout the distributed bitcoin network possible. They append new blocks to the ever-growing chain – that’s the blockchain – and are rewarded with new bitcoins for doing so.
To create block 625875, BTC.com ran its miners and sought to be the first to create the next block. Mining is resource-intensive by design, and while some have described the process as an effort to solve a complex mathematical problem, a more apt description might be that miners rapidly try forming different numbers until they land on the right one.
Mining is a key element of Bitcoin’s security. As more blocks are added, it becomes more difficult to rewind the transactional clock and undo transactions from earlier blocks.
The generation of new BTC is how miners make money; their profits come from the sale price minus the cost of electricity, labor and everything else it takes to keep their legions of mining machines humming. The block reward is also the bedrock incentive for miners to keep the block production process – and, as a result, the transaction history – honest. By getting paid in bitcoin, they have an interest in seeing its price stay steady. A transaction history prone to manipulation or tampering would have no value.
The cycle of block reward or subsidy halvings is baked into bitcoin’s code. The reward reduction underpins bitcoin’s controlled supply, serving as a kind of digital parallel to finite natural resources.
So miners create new bitcoins, and with the halving, they’ll create fewer new bitcoins.
Yes. As The Block highlighted on Monday, miners currently make an estimated $13.4 million per day in new bitcoin and fees. Once the halving kicks in, that’ll drop to about $6.7 million total in the even that prices remain steady.
Of course, that number may very well fluctuate depending on the market reaction in the hours, days, weeks and months ahead. For a deeper look, check out The Block’s Larry Cermak by-the-charts column on the halving published on Monday.
I heard that the price is going to go up with the halving. Is that true?
Much digital ink has been spilled in recent months on the question of whether bitcoin’s price will rise as a result of the halving.
There are varying theories as to why: the halving will bring new market entrants, the tightening of issuance will spur more buying, or history will basically repeat itself. For example, bitcoin’s price rose above $1,000 a year after its 2012 halving. The July 2016 halving saw bitcoin’s price around $660 – a year later, the price had soared above $2,000.
But those were, arguably, different times, and next month’s halving is the first to occur after the parabolic craziness of early 2018.
A price increase isn’t a foregone conclusion – though, to be sure, neither is a drop or a continuation of the status quo.
Okay…so the number isn’t going up?
Nobody knows. And this isn’t investment advice, so quit asking me.

Who will be affected by this?

One can expect that major portions of the bitcoin-facing industry could be impacted in one way or another.
As noted above, miners will see the primary element of their income – new bitcoins – be cut in half. That’s bad news for miners who are operating older, less efficient hardware or borrowed significant sums of money to get new equipment – especially those hit by the recent turbulence in crypto markets. Bitcoin’s hash rate – a measure of the network’s computational power – could slip as some operations find themselves unable to make a profit and thus are forced to power down.
Exchanges will be affected because they’ll be front-and-center for any market response. It could prove to be a boon for exchanges as they’ll arguably be in the best position to benefit from any positive market moves.

Where can I watch the halving take place?

The best vantage point would a block explorer, where live updates for new transaction blocks can be found.
Given that the vast majority of countries are currently in the midst of social distancing because of the coronavirus pandemic, it’s unlikely that in-person parties will be held.
But with everyone stuck at home, it’s virtually certain that those with a stake or interest in crypto will be online – from Twitter to Telegram to IRC – waiting for the third-ever bitcoin reward halving to take place.

2020.04.18 21:40 throwawaydrugacct213 Found old drugs (Australia)

I moved into a new rental 2 weeks ago and found a number of different drugs under the floorboards where the landlord had put a rug for some reason (seemingly not this reason as the drugs have obviously been there for decades through multiple different occupants and owners).
I'm looking for someone who might be able to figure out what this particular combination of drugs would be used to treat (I'm thinking severe allergies to pollen, animal hair or other airborne particulates). Any more contextual info would also be interesting due to the apparent age of the drugs, the lack of use and the sample tags on the labels. I'd also like to know if I'm in any danger of just touching the bottles or one of the exposed capsules.

2020.02.15 11:40 Alvie8 [REVIEW]: LV Speedy B 30 in DE from non-TS "Brandbag_Shop_1"

Hey Ladies, this is my very first review and the first bag i received from an online order (totally wet behind the ears here!). I've tried to be as detailed as possible. If I've missed something please let me know. Questions and CCW welcome.
TL;DR – Awesome rep. I love it.

DETAILS
Item: LV Speedy B 30 in DE
Seller: non-TS Brandbag_Shop_1 Contact method: WhatsApp on +86 136 507 48155
Total Paid: USD$185 (AUD$277.86)Cost breakdown: $155USD bag + USD$25 EMS shipping + USD$10 DHGate fee.NB: Aust. also has a 10% customs fee automatically added to cost online at checkout however I had a coupon which covered that cost.
Postage Shipping offered (to Aust.): e-Packet is free @ 15-25 Days; EMS is USD$20 @ 5-14 days. Seller Seizure policy: “resend first time, if seized a second 30% money resend*” NB: not sure if she meant ‘refund*’
TIMELINE25/08/19: Contact made. Confirmed my desired date code (SA4168 as seen on a YT review days prior) was still available. It was.26/08/19: Confirmed order and paid.30/08/19: Received PSP. Was also informed that the source factory was now producing newer date code – ‘exact same bag with same material’. Further PSPs requested.31/08/19: Received additional PSPs and clarified a few queries.01/09/19: GL’d 😊03/09/19: Package was posted (Tue p.m). Pictures:My bagPSPsNil factory photos.Auth.
QUALITY – 10/10
Smell: fufu = nil; Leather straps smell like leather.
Structure: Perfectly symmetrical. Sturdy. Has the right movement to it and keeps its shape well.
Canvas: Feels fantastic. Has a slight lovely sheen. Not rubbery at all. All boxes with ‘Louis Vuitton’ are crisp as are the detailing of the box ‘weaves’.
Leather: All leather detailing is beautiful and finished well. Stitching is neat and as it should be. Handles feel luxe – no wrinkling. Strap is sturdy and well-finished with appropriate strap ‘keeps’.
Zipper: strong quality zipper runs smoothly.
Internal lining: Finished neatly. No loose threads.
Hardware: Quality, weighty and sturdy bits and pieces.

ACCURACY 9.5/10
Size: looks spot on.
Measurements: Length: 30.5cm x Height: 21cm x Depth: 17.5cm (Original: L30 x H21 x D17cm)9 choc boxes across the front & base and 6 down the sides.
Canvas: Has a slight choco-purply undertone in certain lights but it’s forgivable because the quality of the canvas is incredible, and the overall colouring is darn close to my original DE items. (-0.5)
Line-up: looks great. The ‘Louis Vuitton’ placements are all where they should be.
Hardware: Mixture of brass (zip pulls & D-rings) and gold looking hardware (strap attachments & padlock) which I believe mirrors the auth.
Strap: Correctly comes in 3 pieces. Room to add extra holes.Strap length (including clasps): max = ~116cm (drop = ~54cm); min: ~103cm (drop = ~47cm).Not sure if correct length but at <5’7 I happily wear over-shoulder and crossbody on max.holes.
Handles: gorgeous; No wrinkling. Strong & strurdy. Drop =10cm
Stamping: Correct placement of ‘30’ size stamp low under the side tab & internal date code (SR 4169).
Interior: Well finished. Red colour and quality fabrication appear correct. No loose threads or stitching. Pocket size looks correct although I don’t really care if it isn’t! (22cm across; 13.5cm down and my fingers go to bottom pocket).

COMMUNIATION 10/10
Seller was very responsive, helpful & informative. i.e. When I asked for further PSPs she said she’d wait until better sunlight to take them so I could get a better idea of the canvas colouring and the details and I received them shortly after.
The process was smooth and stress free which was great given I was a newbie with it being my 2nd online purchase ever. Her English is good, she’s very polite. I’ll be ordering from her again.

SATISFACTION – 10/10
Canvas is so important to me and I knew I was halfway onto a winner with this order having watched Lunchmoney’s YT review…but you just never know for sure until you get it in your hands. I’m roll over and light a cigar satisfied. This is a quality rep – she’s my absolute fave to date.
Never thought I’d go for a speedy but am surprised just how much I reach for her (moreso than my auth Tivoli probably because of the bando). I’ve already taken her overseas twice! 5 months on and she’s showing no wear whatsoever.
***POST POST information WeChat users can contact them at ZHOUXIUYU0312 - I've been informed there's no items there (I don't have wechat so I assume they mean 'moments' (??)
Yupoo: I was provided with this link (https://brandbagshop.x.yupoo.com) to view the products they can sell. Admittedly the site is basic and the images were underwhelming. I am currently hot for an LV Siena so I've sent a pic and asked if they can source a counte1:1 copy. Perhaps this is the way to go with them.

247 posted a bunch of ranking updates today. Below is where our current class sits and I'll update it if additional changes post. COT means change-over-time, or in this case since their 1st rating was recorded.
247 has posted their final rankings, so I updated the values and added the change to the ranks.

2019.11.07 21:35 AntonN_2 1800 dollar PC

What will you be doing with this PC? Be as specific as possible, and include specific games or programs you will be using.
- AAA games, rdr, Battlefield titles, rust etc etc. Will be streaming series on Netflix too.

What is your maximum budget before rebates/shipping/taxes?
around 1800 dollar. Would be able to push it to 2000 dollar if needed.

When do you plan on building/buying the PC? Note: beyond a week or two from today means any build you receive will be out of date when you want to buy.
Some part at Singles day (november 11) and some parts at Black Friday.

What, exactly, do you need included in the budget?
ust Tower, no OS or perifherals (messed that up)

Which country (and state/province) will you be purchasing the parts in? If you're in US, do you have access to a Microcenter location?
Sweden - no microcenter

If reusing any parts (including monitor(s)/keyboard/mouse/etc), what parts will you be reusing? Brands and models are appreciated.
Will be reusing Steelseries Arctis Pro, a steelseries apex keyboard, and a Andersson mouse. (Dont know their exact names)

Will you be overclocking? If yes, are you interested in overclocking right away, or down the line? CPU and/orGPU?
Will be overclocking instantly (love that sh*t)

Are there any specific features or items you want/need in the build? (ex: SSD, large amount of storage or a RAID setup, CUDA or OpenCL support, etc)
SSD (M.2) for OS.

Do you have any specific case preferences (Size like ITX/microATX/mid-towefull-tower, styles, colors, window or not, LED lighting, etc), or a particular color theme preference for the components?
Prob a mid tower, dont need a window on the side or some flashy stuff like rgb, aust pure performance.

Do you need a copy of Windows included in the budget? If you do need one included, do you have a preference?
I dont need os.

More examples of billionaires doing these things from the previous thread:
Billionaire Robert Mercer, best known for funding Steve Bannon, [Breitbart]1 , [Project Veritas]2 , and [Cambridge Analytica]3 , which in addition to being in the Russia collusion investigation has [corrupted several elections around the world]4 to the point that [one country's supreme court had to nullify the elections that Mercer's groups interfered in]5 :
Bob Mercer has accepted is that climate change is not happening. It's not for real, and if it is happening, it's going to be good for the planet
Among other things, Mercer said the United States went in the wrong direction after the 1964 Civil Rights Act, and also insisted the only remaining racists in the United States were African-Americans, according to Magerman.
they believe that nuclear war is really not such a big deal. And they've actually argued that outside of the immediate blast zone in Japan during World War II - outside of Hiroshima and Nagasaki - that the radiation was actually good for the Japanese. So they see a kind of a silver lining in nuclear war and nuclear accidents. Bob Mercer has certainly embraced the view that radiation could be good for human health - low level radiation.
[link]12
Steve Bannon bragging about these tactics today:
the power of what he called “rootless white males” who spend all their time online and they could be radicalized in a kind of populist, nationalist way
[link]13
Bannon: "You can activate that army. They come in through Gamergate or whatever and then get turned onto politics and Trump."
[link]14
John Ehrlichman, who partnered with Fox News cofounder Roger Ailes on these strategies since 1968:
[We] had two enemies: the antiwar left and black people. You understand what I’m saying?
We knew we couldn’t make it illegal to be either against the war or black, but by getting the public to associate the hippies with marijuana and blacks with heroin, and then criminalizing both heavily, we could disrupt those communities.
We could arrest their leaders, raid their homes, break up their meetings, and vilify them night after night on the evening news.
Did we know we were lying about the drugs? Of course we did.
"He was the premier guy in the business," says former Reagan campaign manager Ed Rollins. "He was our Michelangelo."
Ailes repackaged Richard Nixon for television in 1968, papered over Ronald Reagan’s budding Alzheimer’s in 1984, shamelessly stoked racial fears to elect George H.W. Bush in 1988, and waged a secret campaign on behalf of Big Tobacco to derail health care reform in 1993.
Hillarycare was to have been funded, in part, by a $1-a-pack tax on cigarettes. To block the proposal, Big Tobacco paid Ailes to produce ads highlighting “real people affected by taxes.”

Adam McKay:
Every day I have to marvel at what the billionaires and FOX News pulled off. They got working whites to hate the very people that want them to have more pay, clean air, water, free healthcare and the power to fight back against big banks & big corps. It’s truly remarkable.
Data on the effect on just the US alone of Australian Fox News billionaire Rupert Murdoch (who also has media empires in the UK, [where he helped Brexit]6 , and Australia, where he stoked [Australia's famously racist culture]7 and *[shocking environmental policies]8 that [benefit the wealthy racists who own the mining companies and conservative party there]9 *):
A 2010 Stanford University survey found "more exposure to Fox News was associated with more rejection of many mainstream scientists' claims about global warming, [and] with less trust in scientists".[75]
A 2011 Kaiser Family Foundation survey on U.S. misperceptions about health care reform found that Fox News viewers had a poorer understanding of the new laws and were more likely to believe in falsehoods about the Affordable Care Act such as cuts to Medicare benefits and the death panel myth.[76]
In 2011, a study by Fairleigh Dickinson University found that New Jersey Fox News viewers were less well informed than people who did not watch any news at all.

Using 150 interviews on three continents, The Times describes the Murdoch family’s role in destabilizing democracy in North America, Europe and Australia.
[link]17
Billionaire Peter Thiel:
[Bought New Zealand citizenship for a bunker there if Mercer gets his desired nuclear fallout]10
[White supremacist about Thiel's race views to Milo Yiannopoulos: "He’s fully enlightened, just plays it very carefully."]11
Some of his other new world order views:
Thiel has become a national figure of controversy for, among other things, claiming that “the extension of the franchise to women [women's right to vote] render the notion of ‘capitalist democracy’ into an oxymoron,” saying, “I no longer believe that freedom and democracy are compatible,” funding a fellowship that specifically tries to get undergraduates to drop out of college, and donating $1.25 million to Donald Trump’s campaign a week after a tape was released in which the then-candidate discussed how he could grope young female actresses and get away with it.
Thiel was long perceived as a libertarian, but in recent years, as his support for Trump illustrates, his politics have taken a nationalist flavor that critics have described as authoritarian and white nationalist.
In Oct. 2016, shortly after Thiel donated $1.25 million to Trump, Thiel publicly apologized for passages in his 1995 book The Diversity Myth, such as claiming that some alleged date rapes were “seductions that are later regretted,” ... But three months later, during the after party of the 30-year anniversary event at Thiel’s home, Thiel stated that his apology was just for the media, and that “sometimes you have to tell them what they want to hear.”

The Republican Koch family billions:
David and Charles Koch, the fabulously rich brothers who turned an oil and manufacturing empire inherited from their father into a cash cow for rightwing causes
Even in his 20s, David Koch was attending a “Freedom School” where he learnt about “anarcho-capitalism” and the virtues of small government and abolishing taxes. Low taxes would be personally appealing to someone with a vast and growing fortune like his.
So too would countering any effort to penalize toxic corporations in the fight against climate change. By Greenpeace’s reckoning, in the 20 years to 2017, the Kochs ploughed about $127m into 92 groups that were involved in rebuffing climate crisis solutions.
“David Koch won’t live to see the worst of climate change but the legacy of denial and the intensified delay caused by his funding will live on,” said Kert Davies, director of the Climate Investigation Center.
Through AFP, the Kochs spawned a nationwide web of impassioned conservative volunteers, empowered by the new voter technology they supported through the political data firm i360. Among the key targets of their campaigning: the Affordable Care Act, known as Obamacare, which brought healthcare to millions of Americans but which the Kochs saw as big government interference. But it also took on climate crisis regulations, public education and taxes and championed the nascent 2010 Tea Party movement.
“A substantial part of David Koch’s legacy was the utter distortion of American democracy, which should be based on one person, one vote but was grossly twisted when he used his vast wealth to buy himself an influence that was out of all proportion.”
(it is well known that the Koch brothers support Republican candidates, but it is less well known that over two decades they spent not a single dime on any Democrat.)
Take Trump’s 2017 tax cuts, which cost $1.5 trillion to the benefit of the rich above all others. The cuts follow a script very similar to the plan put forward by the Koch brothers – which helps explain why they went on to spend more than $20m promoting the legislation.
Koch Industries can also claim the distinction of being one of the country’s most highly polluting companies, behind only ExxonMobil and American Electric Power.

Dachau was erected in 1933, so the Holocaust actually lasted 12 years.
So the dates aren't accurate per google search: [Between 1941 and 1945, across German-occupied Europe, Nazi Germany and its collaborators systematically murdered some six million Jews,]1
Looks like there are loops in holes in your own sources you suggested.
There have been plenty of mass graves discovered.
[Per your own article: Soldiers were called in to the city center of Brest on Belarus’ western border with Poland where they exhumed the bones of 1,214 people killed during the Nazi occupation at the site of what served as a Jewish ghetto from 1941-42.]2
The 1214 bodies were discovered in the jewish ghetto. It seems as though the Nazi were a fairly weird bunch, being that they killed them at a camp, then took the dead bodies back to their neighborhoods to be buried, no? Sounds fishy to me.
Even still, the mass grave was only 1214; which is a FARRRRRR CRY from the supposed 6 million people. In this context, this wasn't even a mass grave. A mass grave would be more along the lines of 100,000 people throughout the area.
Therefore, with that information alone, I am still calling BullSHIT on the 6 million Jews killed.
[Your second reference shows MAYBE, MAYBE 1,000 bodies]3 Again, this is no where near even 10,000 dead people. [This is what 100,000 people look like, and the space they take up]4
You better have some serious evidence to make thinking people buy that Bullshit!!
